The Boeing Company is hiring a Senior Accountant to support the Aerospace Composite Center Accounting group located in Hazelwood, MO .

The Aerospace Composites Center (a non-fully integrated subsidiary of The Boeing Company) has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing’s Fighter Programs. We invest in our skilled workforce, systems, and infrastructure to build innovative cutting-edge products with flawless execution.

In this role, ensuring adherence to both internal and external regulation is a paramount responsibility as there tends to be a lot of focus around labor cost. As a business partner support function, this group routinely interacts with a variety of program finance groups and accounting groups.

Position Responsibilities

Researches, prepares, reviews, and reconciles financial statements and reports
Analyzes and mitigates compliance risks and errors of a complex nature, to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations
Interprets and analyzes complex directives, policies, and regulatory requirements, providing invaluable recommendations on new and existing accounting issues
Uses cost accounting expertise, identifying and communicating cost collection requirements while developing, implementing, and maintaining cost accounting structures, systems, and tools
Supports the development and deployment of changes to accounting tools and processes, using your adaptability and problem-solving skills to navigate through complex challenges
Supports financial reporting, material costs, labor costs, intercompany transactions, banking, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), and capital expenditures

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business or a related field
5+ years of experience accounting, finance, business or a related field
5+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Experience with one or more of the following financial systems: Cognos, Interactive Reporting Environment (IRE), Enterprise Analysis System (EAS), Cost Schedule Performance Reporting (CSPR), Enterprise Planning and Analysis System (EPAS)
Experience leading a team or a project
Experience in Government Accounting
Experience communicating across organizations with suppliers and leadership

Summary pay range: $104,500 - $141,450
