About The Role

Keck's Food Service is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for managing daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts. The ideal candidate will maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers while supporting the organization's overall financial operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and payment requests.
  • Process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfer.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances as needed.

Accounts Receivable

  • Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
  • Monitor incoming payments and apply them correctly to customer accounts.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Respond to customer billing inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Follow up on past-due invoices and collaborate with department managers to resolve collection issues.
  • Prepare and distribute aging reports and assist with collection efforts.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday during normal business hours. This position is expected to work approximately 40 hours per week.

Location

This is an on-site position located in Millerton, PA.

Compensation

$18.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiar with Microsoft programs including Excel.
  • Ability to learning new software programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience preferred.
  • Experience working with computer programs.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles preferred.
