Purpose of the Role
The Fuel Filing Senior Specialist is responsible for managing fuel-related surcharge updates across North America (NAM) customer contracts. This role ensures accurate surcharge calculations, timely contract maintenance, compliance with commercial agreements, and effective implementation of updates within pricing systems. The position plays a key role in safeguarding revenue, maintaining pricing accuracy, and supporting a high standard of customer contract governance.
You will be Responsible to
- Review and maintain fuel-related surcharges in customer contracts in accordance with established review timelines.
- Perform fuel surcharge calculations based on contractual agreements, tariff requirements, and bunker market data.
- Execute contract maintenance activities and ensure timely implementation of pricing updates in relevant systems.
- Conduct governance and compliance checks to prevent revenue leakage and ensure pricing accuracy.
- Validate contractual terms and surcharge configurations to ensure alignment with approved commercial agreements.
- Collaborate with Sales, Tender Partners, Pricing teams, and other stakeholders to complete contract updates within agreed timelines.
- Investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies, exceptions, and contract-related issues.
- Support process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and standardisation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all contract and surcharge-related activities.
Qualifications
- At-least 4 yrs of required experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Preferred experience in contract management, pricing, commercial operations, logistics, or shipping industry operations.
- Experience working with customer contracts, pricing processes, or surcharge management will be an advantage.
- Individuals with experience in contract management, pricing, commercial operations, logistics, shipping, or related business functions who possess strong analytical capabilities and a keen eye for detail.
