Q3 Contracting (Q3C), a division of Primoris Services Corporation , is a publicly owned and operated construction contracting company that provides both specific and turnkey services for its customers in the gas, oil, electric and telecommunications industry. We are headquartered in Minnesota, with branch offices in Colorado, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30am - 3:30pm.

Office Locations: The primary work location will be at our Commerce City office with occasional travel to the Dove Valley office, as needed.

We are actively hiring a Telecom Technician I . This is a full-time, on-site position, 5 days per week. This position provides entry-level technical support for corporate telecommunications systems and services, with a primary focus on mobile device setup and support . This role provisions, configures, deploys, maintains, and troubleshoots cellular phones and tablets, while also supporting Zoom VoIP phones, wireless connectivity, and related telecommunications equipment. The technician works closely with end users, IT personnel, vendors, and service providers to deliver reliable communications services and an outstanding support experience. Work must be completed in accordance with company standards, security requirements, documentation practices, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mobile Device Provisioning & Deployment - Configure, enroll, test, and deploy company cellular phones, tablets and other mobile devices. Confirm that devices, required applications, accounts, connectivity, and accessories are functional before delivery to the end user.
  • Mobile Device Support & Troubleshooting - Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, enrollment, authentication, application, and cellular or wireless connectivity issues. Provide support in person and remotely escalate complex issues when appropriate.
  • Customer-Focused Technical Support - Assist employees with patience, professionalism, and clear communication. Explain technical information in practical terms and keep users informed throughout the support process.
  • Service Request Management - Manage, prioritize, document, and resolve telecom incidents and service requests in the designated tracking system. Maintain complete troubleshooting details, actions taken, user communications, and daily ticket updates.
  • Inventory, Returns & Asset Management - Maintain accurate records for mobile and telecommunications assets, including inventory, assignments, deployments, exchanges, returns, accessories, and device status. Help ensure equipment is properly tracked throughout its lifecycle.
  • Telecommunications Systems Support - Assist with the installation, configuration, maintenance, testing, and support of voice, data, wireless, Zoom VoIP phones, conference room technology, and network-connected communications devices.
  • Moves, Adds, Changes & Equipment Requests - Support telecom service changes, equipment deployments, replacements, office moves, and other assigned requests while minimizing disruption to users and operations.
  • Collaboration, Vendors & Escalation - Coordinate with internal IT teams, carriers, vendors, and service providers to resolve issues, fulfill requests, and support telecommunications projects.
  • Projects, Upgrades & Rollouts - Support mobile device refreshes, telecommunications upgrades, system migrations, device deployments, and technology rollout initiatives as assigned.
  • Standards, Security & Documentation - Follow established IT policies, cybersecurity requirements, change management procedures, telecom standards, and equipment-handling practices. Create and maintain clear support documentation and knowledge resources as needed.
  • Operational Support - Participate in after-hours support, planned maintenance, system upgrades, business continuity activities, and emergency response efforts as required.

Essential Functions & Physical Demands

  • Perform computer-based technical support, device configuration, documentation, inventory, and administrative activities for extended periods.
  • Lift, carry, stage, and install monitors, phones, and related hardware weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Crawl, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in office spaces and equipment rooms as needed.
  • Use hand tools, testing equipment, computers, cellular phones, tablets, and other technology devices to complete troubleshooting and support work.
  • Travel between office locations and operational facilities as needed to support users, devices, and telecommunications services.
  • Maintain focus, accuracy, and attention to detail while configuring devices, handling assets, and resolving technical issues.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in IT support, mobile device support, technical support, or a related technology environment. One or more years supporting mobile devices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with mobile device hardware, software, provisioning, and troubleshooting methods. Exposure to Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Microsoft Office applications, ticketing systems, and service management tools is preferred.
  • Customer-first mindset with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to assist non-technical users patiently and professionally.
  • Logical troubleshooting ability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to travel between office and operational locations as needed.

Work Environment

  • Onsite role performed primarily in an office environment, with work in operational facilities and equipment rooms as business needs require.
  • Frequent interaction with employees, IT personnel, vendors, carriers, and service providers.
  • Regular hands-on work with mobile devices, accessories, telecommunications equipment, cabling systems, network-connected hardware, and support tools.
  • Standard business hours, with additional hours as needed for maintenance, upgrades, business continuity, emergency support, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborative work that requires coordination across IT teams and business functions, with occasional travel to company facilities and operational locations.
