About the Inside Sales Representative SMB SaaS
MarketStar is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our growing sales team in Salt Lake City. In this role, you will proactively engage prospective and existing customers through phone, email, and digital channels to identify business needs, build strong relationships, and deliver tailored solutions that drive customer success. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and achieving sales and productivity goals while representing our client with professionalism and expertise.

What Will You Do?
- Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand business challenges and recommend products and services that align with their needs.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities through outbound and inbound outreach activities, including calls, emails, and virtual meetings.
- Build and nurture customer relationships to support long-term account growth and customer retention.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and consultative sales conversations to drive customer engagement and purchasing decisions.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage leads, track customer interactions, document activities, and maintain accurate sales records.
- Leverage client-provided and self-directed learning resources to maintain product knowledge and industry expertise.
- Manage, review, and communicate pipeline health, forecasts, and sales strategies to leadership on a regular basis.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales goals and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Analyze sales data and customer insights to identify opportunities, improve sales effectiveness, and drive business results.
- Provide feedback regarding customer trends, market conditions, competitive insights, and product opportunities.
- Remain compliant with all company and client business policies, procedures, and sales playbooks.
- Other applicable duties as assigned.
What Will You Need to Succeed?
- 1-3+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in inside sales, B2B sales, technology sales, SaaS, or related industries.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover customer needs and recommend value-based solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across phone, email, virtual meetings, and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to overcome objections, navigate challenges, and maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas and performance goals.
- Ability to analyze information, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of motivation, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms and sales productivity tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other business applications.
- Adaptability, resilience, and a willingness to learn and apply coaching and feedback.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree, sales certifications, or related training preferred.

Compensation Range: $55,000.00 - $61,000.00 USD
The hourly pay range for this position is $26.44. This pay structure may also include a variable bonus component of $6,000.00 USD annually. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills. Your recruiter will provide more detailed information during the interview process.
