In this role, you will provide technical expertise in pressure relief valves and special process requirements, ensuring customer and project specifications are accurately interpreted, communicated, and implemented throughout project execution.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Review customer and project specifications related to special processes and identify applicable requirements, potential risks, and opportunities for clarification.
- Recommend practical alternatives, deviations, exceptions, or clarifications while ensuring alignment with applicable industry codes and customer expectations.
- Consolidate project requirements upon receipt of purchase orders and reconcile differences between quotations, technical qualifications, contractual requirements, and project agreements.
- Collaborate with quotation and project teams to develop accurate sales order documentation that clearly communicates customer and project requirements.
- Support technical discussions, correspondence, and meetings with customers, manufacturing facilities, and vendors to ensure alignment on special process requirements and provide technical guidance to support project execution.
- Develop project-specific addenda to manufacturing procedures covering areas such as material testing, heat treatment, welding, painting, non-destructive examination (NDE), and other special processes.
- Review customer comments on procedures and coordinate technical clarifications with stakeholders to support timely documentation approval.
- Create procedures or specifications when existing documentation does not adequately address project requirements.
- Support project management and operational excellence initiatives through additional project-related activities and technical expertise.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

For This Role, You Will Need
- Experience working with special processes within the oil and gas, energy, industrial, or related sectors.
- Experience supporting activities involving welding, coating, heat treatment, casting, material testing, NDE, or similar special processes.
- Strong knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (ASME BPVC), including Sections II, V, VIII, and IX.
- Understanding of NORSOK M-501 requirements and their application to project specifications.
- Ability to review, interpret, and apply technical specifications, standards, codes, and customer requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with varying levels of information and ambiguity.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multicultural teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Commitment to teamwork, quality, customer focus, and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
- Familiarity with IOGP S-563, S-705, and S-715 specifications.
- Experience supporting pressure relief valve, valve manufacturing, pressure equipment, or engineered-to-order projects.
- Experience coordinating technical requirements among customers, suppliers, and manufacturing facilities.
- Ability to develop or improve technical procedures, specifications, and process documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
