Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and resourceful individuals with a strong mechanical background to join our growing Product Testing team as a Sr Reliability R&D Technician in Houston, Texas. You will be at the forefront at a new site for endurance testing to drive reliability improvements on our product.

In this role, you will be instrumental in the testing of our innovative linear generator technology. You will play a direct role in working closely with our test engineering team conducting inspections, diagnostics, reactive repairs and performing some functionality testing of our generators.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, demonstrates strong personal integrity, and is capable of working independently while maintaining a high standard of quality and accountability. This role requires professionalism and confidence in customer-facing interactions, as you may engage with customers, partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to communicate testing activities, technical findings, and operational updates.
Responsibilities
- Build: Apply your mechanical skills and expertise to repair, assemble cutting-edge generator components and assemblies, adhering to established procedures while proactively identifying areas for improvement
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Partner with engineers to diagnose issues for both mechanical and basic electrical elements, perform root cause analysis, and repair components and assemblies, directly impacting the evolution of our generator designs
- Inspect and Document: Perform thorough inspections of test units and meticulously record findings to support failure analysis and drive critical design and process improvements
- Testing & Validation: Execute comprehensive testing,and general generator system functional testing in collaboration with test team
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and/or repair
- Experience with automotive or heavy equipment assembly is a plus
- Proven ability to learn quickly, a strong sense of self-motivation, and a demonstrated commitment to safety
- Experience with precision measuring instruments, capable of measurements down to .001”, using tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, and gauge blocks.
- Software familiarity and experience is a plus
- Forklift or heavy equipment operation experience a plus
