About The Role

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality, development, and continuous improvement initiatives across our global supply chain. This role is ideal for someone with experience in electronics and electrical manufacturing environments , with a strong understanding of electronic components, cable assemblies, wire harnesses, PCBAs, connectors, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

You will work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to drive quality improvements, support new product introduction activities, manage supplier performance, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Drive supplier quality improvements through part evaluations, data analysis, process reviews, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Suppliers to understand and communicate technical, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and development activities for new and existing suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering on new product introductions, engineering changes, manufacturing readiness, and quality planning.
  • Develop and monitor supplier performance metrics, scorecards, and improvement plans.
  • Lead supplier corrective action activities, root cause investigations, and failure analysis reviews.
  • Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and process evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards and business requirements.
  • Support incoming inspection activities and monitor supplier quality performance trends.
  • Drive the implementation of quality tools including:
  • FMEA
  • Control Plans
  • First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • SPC
  • Pareto Analysis
  • Cause & Effect Analysis
  • Process Flow Mapping
  • Capability Studies
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with ISO 9001 quality management requirements and support the ongoing enhancement of the integrated management system.
  • Coordinate supplier returns, non-conformance management, and failure analysis tracking activities.
  • Work closely with suppliers across Asia and other global regions to improve quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in:
  • Supplier Quality Engineering
  • Quality Assurance
  • Supplier Development
  • Manufacturing Quality
  • New Supplier Qualification
  • Product Approval Processes
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and manufacturing process assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Experience with quality planning, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Technical Expertise

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in electrical and electronic products and manufacturing processes, including:

  • Electrical and electronic assemblies
  • Wire harnesses and cable assemblies
  • Electrical wiring and interconnect systems
  • Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs)
  • Connectors, terminals, and electromechanical components
  • Resistors, capacitors, and other electronic components
  • Sensor and detection systems
  • Electromechanical and industrial products

Key Technical Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret:
  • Electrical schematics
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Engineering drawings
  • Technical specifications
  • Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Cables and wiring systems
  • Harness design and manufacturing
  • Connector and termination technologies
  • Electronic assemblies and PCB manufacturing processes
  • Component qualification and inspection techniques
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
  • Experience within electronics, electrical, aerospace, industrial equipment, instrumentation, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Exposure to ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
  • Experience within Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma environments.
  • Experience developing suppliers across Asia.
  • Experience using SAP ERP and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and reporting tools.
