JOB OVERVIEW

Under the general guidance and direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, operational and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of concession stands, catering services, and events. This role involves overseeing inventory, food preparation, cleaning, and scheduling while maintaining accurate financial and operational records.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manages overall stocking and cleaning of concession stands in coordination with concession stand leads. Gathers and tracks numbers to guide concession stand leads on food and beverage needs for each event. Conduct weekly inventory of food supplies to ensure appropriate ordering levels. Maintain over/under reports for all cashiers after events to ensure financial accountability.

Maintains records of total inventory and money balances from opening through closing of each event. Prepares the event reports concerning labor and food costs. Pays invoices for food and concession costs.

Coordinates all catering orders, set up, and ensures proper execution for catered events. Assist in event preparation and execution, including cooking, cleaning, and logistical support. Work events as needed to provide hands-on support.

Handles ordering and returning of linens and mops.

Launders kitchen aprons and tablecloths as required.

Updates and maintain point-of-sale systems, including menu boards, pricing signs, and iPads.

Assists in recruiting, selecting, training and supervising part-time personnel engaged in the preparation and dispensing of food and drinks.

Coordinates all food/beverage and tips/ food handler classes.

Helps maintain cleanliness of all food and beverage areas including kitchen and concession stands.

Adheres to policies and procedures set forth by the Weber County Commission.

Acts as Food and Beverage Manager when assigned.

Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in recruiting, selecting, training and supervising part-time personnel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of experience in Concessions Operation, including alcoholic beverages. Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA)

Knowledge: Considerable knowledge of buying and selling of semi-prepared foods and selected items. Working knowledge in training, planning and scheduling the work of subordinates. Working knowledge of state and local health laws pertaining to the storage, preparation, and serving of food and beverages.

Skills: Skill in operating a personal computer and iPad. Skill in good housekeeping practices of areas where food is stored, prepared and served. Skill in the preparation and service of food and beverage items.

Abilities: Ability to control and monitor cash receipts and inventory. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public in a courteous, cooperative, and professional manner. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.

YOUR SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a food handler permit.
  • Must have TIPS certification
  • Must be adaptable to changing work hours as hours may vary depending on scheduled events.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment background check prior to starting the position.
