We’re seeking a Finance Partner for a 12-month Secondment opportunity to provide strategic financial leadership, partnering closely with our Technology and operational teams to drive sustainable, high-value outcomes.

You’ll join an innovative team who is passionate about applying Customer-Focused Thinking and commercial insights to optimise our investments, ensuring our technology landscape effectively supports the communities we connect. It’s meaningful, challenging, and commercially vital work.

Day-to-day, you will

Act as a trusted commercial advisor to technology and business leaders, embedding sharp Commercial Acumen into business cases, operational budgeting, and major capital expenditure plans.
Foster deep Relationship Building and Collaborative Delivery, partnering across technical, operational, and finance functions to align financial strategy with broader business objectives.
Leverage your AI & Data Literacy and Critical Thinking to build sophisticated financial models, evaluate complex data sets, and assess the financial performance of ongoing projects and investments.
Navigate dynamic project portfolios and shifting business priorities with Adaptability and structured Problem Solving, identifying innovative opportunities for cost optimisation and value creation.

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including

Demonstrated experience operating as a trusted commercial advisor in a complex, matrix organisation, powered by strong Commercial Acumen and Customer-Focused Thinking.
A talent for Relationship Building and Collaborative Delivery, with the proven ability to influence senior non-finance stakeholders and translate complex financial concepts into actionable advice.
Strong AI & Data Literacy and advanced financial modelling capabilities (using tools like Excel ) to interrogate data, track capital expenditure, and apply Critical Thinking to business reporting.
A flexible mindset and proven Adaptability, using structured Problem Solving to navigate the financial lifecycle of large-scale projects, capital allocations, and post-implementation reviews.
A solid foundation in finance, accounting, commerce, or a related analytical field, complemented by relevant professional qualifications or equivalent commercial experience.
