Job Overview
- Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
- Ensuring the highest level of satisfaction for our park guests. This role will support the Guest Arrival, Rides, Shows and Park Quality teams at SeaWorld. This involves fostering an empowering environment where Ambassadors can be their best and deliver the highest quality guest service.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the execution of department activities and park schedule to ensure highest level of guest satisfaction and Park quality.
- Frequently take on the responsibilities of the Park Duty Manager.
- Monitors guest comments and acts on opportunities for positive change.
- Ensure a safe environment for all Ambassadors, guests, and animals.
- Provides positive leadership for the area ensuring the highest level of team member satisfaction, competency, and safe working environments.
- Resolves complaints or submits unsettled complaints to Department Director for action.
- Revises standard operational and working practices and observes team to ensure compliance with standards; Inspects areas and equipment to ensure safety, specific operations performance, and optimum utilization; investigates accidents with guest and or ambassadors.
- Maintains area labor and expense budget and associated procedures for management approval.
- Develop revenue-generating ideas and implements as appropriate.
- Manage projects, schedules, and duties for select project teams including quality, revenue, courtesy, expense and capital projects.
- Serve as project leader for department initiatives related to improving guest or ambassador satisfaction, leadership development and compliance.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid state driver’s license preferred.
- 2-4 years of theme park management experience.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies
- Ability to complete CPR/AED training/certification
- Ability to be trained and certified on all park operations areas
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking and group presentation skills
- Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to train on and properly use protective gear
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess talent to build relationships through consulting and partnering
- Ability to speak in public.
- Ability to manage several projects concurrently.
- Must be able to conduct simple analyses to support business decisions.
- Ability to effectively motivate a diverse work force to task completion.
- Respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from ambassadors, customers and regulatory agencies.
Responsibility for Others
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety requirements.
- Lead the daily operations of the park operations department.
- Manages 10-300 ambassadors.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Regular use of hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed.
- Stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
- Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
- Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
Availability
- Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours, i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and Holidays.

Work Conditions
- Work indoors and in outside weather conditions (i.e., direct sunlight, wet and/or humid)
- Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work in an environment with moderate noise levels.

- Able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
Compensation: $70,304 annually
