AV&I Clinical Affairs Leader

Lead the clinical evidence strategy for a global portfolio of Advanced Visualization & Informatics (AV&I) solutions, shaping how innovative healthcare technologies demonstrate clinical value, achieve regulatory success, and improve patient outcomes worldwide.

Your role

  • You will define and execute the AV&I clinical evidence strategy across the entire product lifecycle, from early innovation and development through market introduction, expansion, and post-market support, ensuring evidence generation drives business growth, regulatory success, and clinical adoption.
  • You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Medical Affairs, Health Economics & Market Access, Marketing, and senior business leaders to integrate evidence plans into portfolio roadmaps and strategic priorities.
  • You will represent Philips externally with regulators, notified bodies, clinical investigators, healthcare leaders, professional societies, and scientific partners while driving global clinical studies, real-world evidence programs, scientific publications, and clinical communications that demonstrate safety, performance, clinical benefit, and innovation.
  • You will lead, develop, and retain a Clinical Affairs team, with clear goals, accountability, succession planning, coaching, and career development.

You're the right fit if

  • You hold a Master’s degree in a scientific, clinical, engineering, public health, or related discipline. An MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent advanced clinical or scientific degree is preferred.
  • You bring 10+ years of progressive experience in Clinical Affairs, clinical development, clinical research, or evidence generation within medical devices, software as a medical device, digital health, imaging informatics, or related healthcare technology.
  • You have proven experience developing and executing clinical evidence strategies that support regulatory approval, product claims, market access, clinical adoption, and lifecycle management, with a strong understanding of clinical research methodology and applicable global requirements, including GCP, ISO 14155, clinical evaluation expectations, and relevant FDA and EU medical-device regulations.
  • You are experienced in managing portfolio priorities, budgets, resources, and complex cross-functional programs, while influencing senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are able to successfully perform the physical, cognitive, and environmental requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Preferred experience includes advanced visualization, radiology or cardiology informatics, enterprise imaging, structured reporting, interoperability, cloud software, AI-enabled clinical applications, global clinical studies, real-world evidence programs, and external scientific partnerships. You bring 5+ years of people-leadership experience, with success leading multidisciplinary teams in a global, matrixed organization.

Compensation & benefits

Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base annual salary range for this role is €93,049.00 – €155,081.00. We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations. This role is eligible for a 6% short term incentive, with your rewards linked to both KPIs and company results. We’ll share the full approach with you during the interview process, so you can make a clear, informed decision. The indicated salary range applies to the primary location for this role. Compensation and benefits may vary in other hiring locations and will be discussed with shortlisted candidates during the recruitment process

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This role is an office role.

This role is not open to a relocation.
