About The Role

WME Group is recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join our Japan team.

The Role and What You’ll Do

Accounts Payable Management

  • Account payable managements for vendors & employees and operate daily treasury work liaising with HQ Treasury Department.
  • To remit of client’s funds of US clients and excess cash to HQ
  • Cash flow management for daily payments transactions
  • To maintain bank accounts liaising with the banks
  • Withholding income tax payment and statutory withholding tax reporting
  • To maintain fixed asset ledger and accounting
  • To liaise with the banks for the daily treasury operations.

Accounts Receivable Management

  • Account receivable management for clients including invoicing and cash receipting with ensuring the proper contracts related to invoicing
  • Quarterly update of revenue projection for clients.
  • Responsible for the remittance of funds to Japanese clients and special clients
  • To follow up all outstanding debtors, liaising with business people and help them for their collection
  • To review the overall clients projections compared to actual variances for usually high/low numbers with relevant clients managers of BU
  • Filling and documents retention such as invoices, contracts copies and clients deposit reports etc.
  • To manage financial information for special clients and assist their accounting operations in Japan

You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the role.

You Have These

  • At least five years of relevant experience in finance and accounting within a multinational company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional accounting certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is a plus
  • Native-level Japanese and advanced business English proficiency, both written and spoken (TOEIC score of approximately 800 or above preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and budgeting/planning tools, such as SAP
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
