The Senior Network Engineer leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructures. This role involves strategic planning and technical leadership. Senior Network Engineers support network implementations and collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align network infrastructure with organizational objective.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Designs and deploys advanced network configurations.
- Leads network upgrades and maintenance efforts.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues to minimize disruptions.
- Mentors junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Develops and implements security protocols and disaster recovery plans.
- Implements security measures to protect the network from threats and unauthorized access.
- Develops and maintains documentation for network configurations.
Education
Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience in network engineering with an advanced industry standard certification in the position area of responsibility OR in lieu of a bachelors degree 10+ years of experience in network engineering and an advanced industry standard certification in the position area of responsibility, is required.
Certifications

Experience
- If Bachelor’s degree: 6+ years of experience in network engineering required
- If no Bachelor’s degree: 10+ years of experience in network engineering

- Strong leadership and management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and hardware.
- Excellent strategic planning and communication skills.
- Expertise in developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures.
- Advanced skills in monitoring and improving network performance.
- Strong Project Management skills for overseeing network implementations.
- Skills in developing and implementing security protocols and disaster recovery plans.
- Proficiency in designing scalable, secure, and efficient network architectures.
- Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of network disruptions and implement effective solutions.
