Material Handler Supervisor AD Procurement Shipping and Receiving

About The Role

  • Full-Time | Schedule: 8:00AM - 4:30PM Monday through Friday (Off Saturday & Sunday) | Pay: $23.35 Hourly
  • Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position
  • Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for receiving, storing, and delivering purchased items. You will report to the Shipping Receiving Manager.

Primary Tasks

  1. You will manage and train the Material Handlers on receiving of incoming shipments, identifying missing items, and processing and notification on damaged items.
  2. Report damaged or defective items to the appropriate buyer.
  3. Supervise the unloading of trucks and moving of materials to the determined storage area in the warehouse until delivery date has been determined.
  4. Oversee the picking orders according to work orders and the instructions provided.
  5. You will ensure that incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labeled, and correlating documents are available with each shipment.
  6. Enter and maintain files of shipping records into CNO ERP system.
  7. Investigate and trace missing or lost shipments.
  8. Manage the routing of products to the correct department.
  9. Ensure that identifying information and delivery instructions on each shipment are attached.
  10. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of purchasing methods and practices
  • Become a Certified forklift operator.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and in the development and completion of projects.
  • Solve unique problems and find best case solutions.
  • Enter important information into an ERP system.
  • Plan a logical route and make deliveries safely.
  • Two (2) years’ experience of general warehousing, receiving, and logistics.
