About The Role

What you will do

  • Lead commercial construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects across multiple locations.
  • Oversee the installation and integration of critical infrastructure and industrial equipment, including autoclaves, wash lines, compactors, boiler rooms, plumbing, gas piping, and electrical systems.
  • Travel approximately 50% to conduct site walks, inspections, progress reviews, and project closeout activities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, MEP drawings, and equipment specifications to guide project execution.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality work, competitive pricing, and timely project delivery.
  • Direct and mentor skilled trades teams, providing guidance, performance feedback, and safety leadership.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, documentation, and reporting while proactively addressing risks and delays.
  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, permitting requirements, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards.

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years of experience as a General Contractor or in a comparable commercial construction, project management, or site leadership role.
  • Valid General Contractor license (or ability to obtain reciprocal licensure), OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Experience managing multiple skilled trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, and other subcontracted services.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building systems, including boiler rooms, gas piping, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Experience obtaining, evaluating, and negotiating bids, contracts, scopes of work, and change orders with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, MEP drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, OSHA regulations, and construction safety best practices.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, vendor management, and project management skills, with the ability to travel approximately 50% and pass required background and drug screenings.
