  • Fixed term Part Time (0.8 FTE) role based in Burnie TAS till Dec 2026
  • $46.70 p/hr (SCHADS Level 4.1) + Leave loading + Super + Salary packaging

About the opportunity

You will utilise this rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of community members. As a program worker, you will work towards recovery through developing individual recovery plans with participants which incorporate individual goals focusing on capacity building, skill and knowledge development and building longer term support networks.

You will deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented support to individual, with mental health challenges. This role will be best suited for individuals with strong hands-on experience in managing caseloads to assist participants develop individual recovery plans. We’re looking for someone who can confidently step into the role, work independently and effectively manage their caseload from day one.

If you’re a proactive self-starter with demonstrated experience in mental health related roles and confidence to quickly get up to speed, we’d love to hear from you.

To be successful in this role

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that go hand in hand with your demonstrated alignment with Wellways values.
  • Diploma qualification or above in Mental Health, Community Services or equivalent
  • Prior experience working within the Mental Health industry or community-based organisation
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written including the ability to complete reports.
  • Appropriate IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration with NDIS Endorsement
  • Right to Work within Australia
  • Satisfactory National Police Records Check
