About the Opportunity
Job Summary
The Assistant Coach- Diving will assist the head coach in maintaining a highly competitive Division I program to include recruitment of prospective student-athletes, practice and game coaching, fund raising, community service, off-season conditioning, and administrative tasks.
The role also oversees the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and administration of Barletta Pool; oversees the hiring, training, testing, and certification of lifeguards; ensures that all appropriate water health and safety standards are maintained. Responsible for the continued assessment and upkeep of the pool; required to work on pre-determined weekends, mornings, and evenings to cover events throughout the year.
Qualifications
Assistant Coach Diving: A bachelor’s degree is required. Candidate must have two to four years of diving coaching and recruiting experience in Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving; a thorough knowledge of recruiting practices and NCAA regulations; good organizational, communication, and time management skills; and the ability to take on multiple tasks and work independently or in a team setting. Must be willing to work nights and weekends as well as be available for travel depending on the team schedules. Previous collegiate competition experience is preferred.
Pool Manager: Currently hold/willing to obtain: Certification/Licensure American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification, American Red Cross Professional Rescuer, CPR/AED Instructor Certification, and National Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator Certification. Ability to recruit, supervise, and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Knowledge of swimming pool water chemistry, temperature, and cleanliness standards. Ability to inspect facility for risk management or maintenance concerns and identify resolutions.

$53,615.00 - $75,728.75
