The Pediatric Orthopaedics program at Monroe Carell provides comprehensive, leading-edge care for children and adolescents with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, from routine fractures to the most complex orthopedic disorders. In a family-centered environment, our nationally recognized team delivers advanced diagnostic, surgical, and rehabilitative care for conditions affecting the spine, bones, hips, feet, and joints. We specialize in treating complex fractures, sports injuries, spinal deformities, scoliosis, and musculoskeletal infections, as well as conditions such as acetabular dysplasia, achondroplasia, aneurysmal bone cysts, ACL injuries, patellofemoral syndrome, arthritis, avascular necrosis, and back pain in children and adolescents. Through innovative treatment approaches and a commitment to exceptional outcomes, Monroe Carell Pediatric Orthopaedics helps children achieve their highest level of mobility, function, and quality of life.

The nationally ranked Pediatric Urology team at Monroe Carell provides specialized, compassionate care for infants, children, and adolescents with urinary tract and reproductive organ conditions. With extensive expertise in pediatric urology, our providers offer the full spectrum of care, from routine office-based procedures to highly complex reconstructive surgeries. The team cares for children with a wide range of conditions, including cloacal anomalies, duplex systems, ectopic ureter, epididymitis, epispadias, exstrophy of the bladder, and other complex pediatric urologic disorders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proficiently performs all Associate Patient Service Specialist job responsibilities.
  • Schedules appointments and procedures through clinical communication, work queues, and patient portal messages
  • Manages registration and patient work queues.
  • Coordinates with patients and/or outside facilities to ensure all pre-appointment orders and consults have been received and ready to view prior to patient visit.
  • Communicates with patients through the patient portal using critical decision making to route appropriately as applicable.

  • CUSTOMER SERVICE (Intermediate): A continuing focus on the needs and requirements of customers, anticipating their needs, remaining sensitive to customers while performing services for them, responsive to customer needs.
  • PATIENT SCHEDULING (Novice): The ability to coordinate and schedule patient appointments, procedures and other office visits with various computer systems in the hospital or clinic.
