Who You Are

Our team is seeking an experienced and creative Youtube Video Editor who will perform the inital pass of raw footage; ordering raw shots against the script to create the rough "assembly cut". You will be responsible for creating engaging and intriguing cut pacing that keep our audience hooked.

Your Responsibilities and Skills

Cuts, Flow, and Tempo Mastery: Skillful in managing cuts, flow, and tempo variations to avoid "Dead Space" and maintain an engaging pace throughout the content.
Editing Approach: Proficient in executing YouTube editing techniques in-line with the existing EYstreem editing style whilst adapting to changing trends and editing styles used by competitors, ensuring accessibility for younger audiences and maintaining their engagement.
Multi-Cam editing experience: Edit videos that are filmed with multiple perspective or camera set-ups.
Storytelling Focus : Demonstrates a strong emphasis on storytelling, highlighting relationships and dialogue between characters to captivate the audience.
Audience Engagement Understanding: Well-versed in identifying and catering to factors that keep viewers engaged and intrigued, thus retaining their interest throughout the content.
Editing Style Mimicry: Capable of mimicking existing editing styles from EYstreem and competitor channels.
Creative Outlook: Be able to creatively contribute to and elevate the edits by staying up to date with trends in social media and pop culture, infusing fresh and relevant elements into content.
Music Integration Understanding: Familiar with editing styles both with and without music, adapting to the preferences of the audience and utilizing music effectively to enhance the viewing experience.
SFX Implementation: Capable of effectively incorporating sound effects, knowing when, where, and what to add to enhance immersion and narrative impact in the content.
Timeline Color Coding: Utilizes color-coded timelines to enhance organization and efficiency, sharing color codes with team members for consistency.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in video editing.
Deep understanding of engaging pacing across multiple storylines, camera-angles and characters; adapting to the ever-changing expectations of the YouTube audience.
Technically efficient cutting and assembly techniques.
Skillful use of both Sound Effects (SFX) and Visual Effects (VFX) to enhance video quality and storytelling.
Exceptional communication skills and proactive engagement within team dynamics.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for seamless editing workflows.
Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines and navigate project timelines effectively.
Demonstrated capacity to incorporate feedback constructively and adapt editing approaches accordingly.
In-depth knowledge of social media and pop-culture trends

Bonus Points!

Proficiency in utilizing YouTube Analytics and key metrics such as Average View Duration (AVD), Click-Through Rate (CTR), AVD in the first 30 seconds, and Impressions to inform editing decisions and improvements - demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
