We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Demand Finance Business Partner to join our high-performing Finance team at Mars Snacking Australia, based in Melbourne. In this pivotal role, you will act as a key Demand co-pilot connecting Finance, Marketing & Sales). You will provide critical financial analysis, governance, and decision support to evaluate brand launches, optimize trade promotional investments, governance and drive sustainable, profitable growth across our iconic brand and customer portfolios.
What You’ll Do
- Partner Sales & Brand Strategy: Serve as the trusted finance business partner across Brand Marketing and Sales teams to support strategic planning and achieve financial targets across periodic S&OP+ cycles.
- Drive Trade Efficiencies and Governance: Develop partnerships with Key Account Teams, Strategic Revenue Management, and Category Management through an understanding of the competitive retail landscape and analyzing customer-specific environments.
- Partner NPD & Activity Financials: Provide robust financial evaluation for New Product Development (NPD) and brand initiatives—from cost analysis to post-launch reviews and trade-off analyses.
- Deliver Planning, Forecasting & Governance: Provide high-quality financial inputs to operating plans and revised forecasts while ensuring strict adherence to internal controls, trade budget governance, and audit standards.
- Champion Digital & AI-Driven Insights: Leverage modern reporting platforms, data visualization, and AI productivity tools to identify commercial trends, automate routine workflows, and upskill cross-functional partners in financial acumen.
What You’ll Bring
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field; CPA/CA (or equivalent qualification/progress) is highly advantageous.
- Relevant Experience: 1–3 years of diversified financial management, planning, commercial partnering, or audit experience (FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, or Big 4 background preferred).
- Analytical & Modelling Skills: Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and exposure to Trade Promotion Management (TPM) systems (e.g., Promax, Salesforce).
- Commercial Acumen: A solid understanding of the interrelationships between sales strategy, pricing, volume, mix, and cost drivers to convert complex data into strategic business recommendations.
- Collaboration & Innovation Mindset: Proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships, communicate with clarity across diverse teams, and leverage AI/digital tools to streamline workflows and add value.
