About The Role

The FP&A Manager for Overheads is a key finance partner in managing overheads spend, balancing governance and insights. The role interacts with all functions and business units within Mars Snacking North America (MSNA), to ensure accurate budgeting, outlooks and accurate recording of actuals. Key deliverables include ensuring accuracy of our books, working with budget owners to ensure spends are appropriately accrued for, developing insights/tracking of actual run-rates, maintaining the OBO tool for the region allowing budget owners to manage their spend and provide forecasts that support IBP process. In order to be successful in this role the associate must demonstrate and attention to detail, understand the data sources of our business and be strong with MS365 & systems agile.

What are we looking for?

  • University Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years for larger business
  • MBA preferred or equivalent experience
  • Highly organized and reliable, able to meet regular deadlines
  • Must have a high degree of self-direction with the ability to constantly seek innovative ways to perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Must be proactive, high energy, detailed-oriented when appropriate, results-oriented, and willing to drive change.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Well-developed organization skills to manage multiple projects and priorities FP&A Experience
  • Experience with MS Office, SAP
  • Experience using a planning or BI Tool (Anaplan, Power BI etc)
  • Exposure to period-end close processes and working alongside other finance teams

What will your key responsibilities be?

  • Maintain and update the annual plan and rolling forecast models on a periodic basis
  • Produce the periodic overheads reporting pack, including actuals vs. forecast variance analysis, providing clear insights to key stakeholders (both finance and cross-functional)
  • Regular reviews of spending progress against plans, identification of key issues. Prepare areas of focus and recommended adjustments, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver Plan targets
  • Use and leverage Digital budgeting tools for regular activities, support for development and continuous improvement of Digital tools usability.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process — gathering inputs, loading data, and flagging inconsistencies
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and financial summaries as requested by the FP&A Director
  • Identify and flag process inefficiencies in reporting workflows, suggesting practical improvement

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 86,720.00 - USD 119,240.00
