About The Role

Job Details

Summary

You will turn category and sales data into compelling sales stories that change what Walmart puts on the shelf. You will build the presentations, reports, and dashboards that carry those insights internally and to Walmart. The role calls for a strong analytical mindset and the ability to make complex data clear and persuasive. You will thrive here if you like a fast-paced, data-driven environment and want your analysis to move the business for both Tyson Foods and Walmart.

Monitoring the market is core to the job. You will track shifts in consumer behavior, competitor activity, and category dynamics, spot emerging trends early, and turn what you find into recommendations the team can act on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communication: Lead the narrative for the Walmart business, presenting insights and recommendations to senior Tyson leadership and Walmart merchants and influencing decisions at that level.
  • Analysis: Investigate Walmart’s business metrics, including sales trends, new item performance, shopper behavior, and competitive benchmarking, using syndicated data.
  • Reporting: Own the reporting agenda for the business, deciding what gets measured and ensuring daily, weekly, and quarterly reporting drives action rather than description.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the team’s expert on Walmart Scintilla and syndicated data and build that capability across the group through coaching and shared best practices.
  • Leadership: Lead cross-functional problem solving on the most complex business questions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Psychology, Marketing Research, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ year of experience with a branded consumer-goods company, or a combination of supplier-side and manufacturer-side experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to build a clear, persuasive PowerPoint deck
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and customers, in writing and in person
  • Demonstrated success translating consumer insights into recommendations that delivered measurable business results
  • Deep working knowledge of syndicated retail measurement data and consumer panels
  • Circana, Scintilla, or NielsenIQ experience preferred; familiarity with Claude, Copilot, or other AI tools a plus
  • Location: This is an in-person role based in Springdale, Arkansas, and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
