ProSync is seeking a passionate Lead Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to help oversee the ISSO Support Department and is responsible for helping maintain security compliance, documentation accuracy, and continuous monitoring for DoS systems. They will oversee routine cybersecurity governance functions such as POA&M tracking, RMF documentation updates, vulnerability status maintenance, audit preparation, and system owner coordination. This department ensures systems stay compliant with FISMA and NIST requirements daily.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The ISSO leads the personnel executing continuous RMF compliance, system documentation upkeep, and implementation of security controls.

  • Serves as senior technical authority for ISSO functions.
  • Leads system-level cybersecurity governance tasks, ensuring accuracy of SSPs, artifacts, and monitoring metrics.
  • Provides escalation point support to ISSOs for complex control interpretations.

Operations & Tasks Overseen

  • Continuous monitoring
  • Security control implementation verification
  • Vulnerability scanning follow‑through
  • POA&M population and closure
  • SSP development, review, and updates
  • Coordination during assessment cycles and A&A preparations
  • 8+ years as an ISSO or security analyst.
  • Strong knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800‑53, POA&M processes.
  • Experience with governance tools (e.g., Archer, CSAM).
  • A CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification is required.
  • A minimum Secret security clearance is required to be considered for this position with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. (We are not able to sponsor candidates for a security clearance)

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in any field. (A technical specialization is preferred)
