Our Bartenders play an essential role in creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional food and beverage service in a refined luxury hospitality environment. These service-driven professionals craft and serve beverages, engage guests with genuine hospitality, and deliver personalized experiences throughout the resort, including the Arrival & Departure Lounge and Pool areas.

Additional Responsibilities Include

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes, standards, and guest preferences.
  • Provide food and beverage service, including order taking, preparation, and delivery to guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize point‑of‑sale (POS) systems to accurately record transactions and process payments.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking initiative to enhance their experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service areas, and equipment in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, stocking, and replenishment of food and beverage items.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and reconciliation of sales.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, beverages, and resort amenities to provide recommendations to guests.
  • Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and appropriate resolution.
  • Support overall operations by assisting with cleaning, bussing, and general upkeep as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations and company policies.
  • Promote a positive, welcoming environment that reflects the resort’s service culture.

  • Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Routinely check the Arrival/Departure Lounge and Pool areas to identify guest needs and provide proactive service opportunities.

To fulfill this role efficiently, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess, or have the ability to obtain, a State of Hawaii Liquor Card (Blue Card) and a State of Hawaii Food Handler Certificate.
  • TB Clearance.
  • Less than one (1) year of related experience. Luxury hotel experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally and engage guests in a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, guest facing environment.
  • Working knowledge of beverage preparation, including cocktails, beer, and wine, and basic knowledge of food service and menu offerings.
  • Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism and composure.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance consistent with a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize tasks to maximize guest experience and bar revenue.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions

  • Associate’s degree or college diploma.
  • One (1) year of related experience.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Prior bartending or food and beverage experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Experience in a resort, hotel, or timeshare setting.
  • Familiarity with inventory control and ordering processes.
  • Bilingual Japanese communication skills preferred.
