Position Summary

The Manager IV, Manufacturing Engineering leads the OMS organization across multiple Business Units and is accountable for manufacturing documentation readiness, operational performance, digital transformation, and organizational capability. The role leads approximately 50 engineers through managers and technical leaders and partners with Manufacturing, NPI, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a multi-level organization of Manufacturing Engineering Managers, technical leads, engineers, and contractors; own workforce planning, succession, engagement, and leadership development.
  • Own end-to-end OMS/iOMS delivery across multiple BUs for NPI, HVM, supplier and contract manufacturing, and field installation programs.
  • Align OMS priorities, capacity, and execution plans with product roadmaps, factory requirements, build schedules, and customer commitments.
  • Drive OMS readiness, mapping readiness, FTR, OTTC, SLA adherence, productivity, quality-escape reduction, and NC/redline closure performance.
  • Establish operating mechanisms, scorecards, standards, risk reviews, RCCA, and executive escalation processes to ensure predictable execution.
  • Define and execute the OMS digital roadmap, including automation, AI-enabled solutions, next-generation platforms, and model-based manufacturing capabilities.
  • Serve as the senior OMS interface for BU and functional leaders; influence decisions affecting manufacturability, factory readiness, quality, and delivery.
  • Build technical capability in OMS/iOMS, manufacturing processes, BOM and product structures, change management, PLM/ MES integration, and problem solving.

Scope & Business Impact

  • Organization of approximately 50 engineers with an internal management and technical leadership hierarchy.
  • Accountability across multiple Business Units, product portfolios, manufacturing programs, and global stakeholders.
  • Direct impact on build quality, manufacturing cycle time, product and factory readiness, scalability, and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical , Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years experience in manufacturing engineering, product engineering, or manufacturing operations, including leadership of managers and large technical teams.
  • Experience with NPI, HVM, manufacturing readiness, product documentation, operational excellence, and complex electromechanical or semiconductor equipment.
  • Strong executive communication, cross-functional influence, organizational change leadership, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Working knowledge of PLM, CAD, SAP, MES/iOMS, digital manufacturing, automation, and AI-enabled engineering solutions is preferred.
