Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Analyze and report supply chain costs, including tariffs, freight, duties, and segment burdens.
- Support monthly costing processes and ensure accurate cost allocations across regions, products, and business segments.
- Partner with Finance, Logistics, Operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders to validate cost estimates and forecast adjustments.
- Monitor tariff changes and assess their financial impact on regional and global P&Ls.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance costing models to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and executive presentations highlighting cost trends, key drivers, risks, and financial implications.
- Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, standardization, automation, and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, US GAAP, and GE HealthCare policies and procedures.
- Participate in digitization, automation, and transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
- Lead global freight audit and payment process governance, ensuring consistent standards, controls, and ways of working across regions.
- Manage audit-related projects, country implementations, and process improvements to completion on time and within agreed scope.
- Partner with Finance, Controllership, AP, Tax, IT, Logistics, carriers, and external freight audit providers to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations.
- Ensure freight invoices are audited, coded, approved, and paid in line with accounting, VAT, controllership, and compliance requirements.
- Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and countermeasures for billing, coding, payment, carrier, and process issues.
- Support internal, external, SOC, SOX, and controllership audits through evidence collection, documentation review, control updates, and remediation tracking.
- Own and improve key process documentation, including SOPs, RASCI, country cookbooks, process maps, information flow diagrams, business rules, and cost allocation rules.
- Monitor operational performance through KPIs, dashboards, backlog reports, payment status reports, QBRs, MORs, and leadership updates.
- Drive automation and reporting improvements, including Power BI dashboards, KPI automation, TRAX, VAT, JE files, OTM match file, and other freight payment reports.
- Act as subject matter expert for coding logic, cost allocation, audit controls, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support supplier and carrier management activities, including contract and rate card updates, issue escalations, onboarding, payment terms, and post-go-live monitoring.
- Guide team members, share knowledge, support training, and help build alignment across global and regional stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), CA Intermediate, CMA Intermediate, or MBA in Finance.
- 7–12 years of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, supply chain finance, or logistics accounting.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory accounting, and supply chain operations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis, and financial reporting.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Alteryx etc.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated experience leading process automation, digital transformation, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts between 12:00 PM and 9:00 PM IST.
