About the Role

  • FLATS is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to provide
  • overnight front desk coverage and help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for
  • residents and guests.
  • This position serves as the primary point of contact during overnight hours and is responsible for
  • monitoring building access, conducting routine property patrols, responding to resident needs,
  • documenting incidents, and supporting emergency response procedures when necessary.
  • The ideal candidate is professional, observant, calm under pressure, and able to work
  • independently while delivering outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor the lobby, entrances, and common areas throughout the overnight shift.
  • Ensure only authorized residents and approved guests enter the building.
  • Verify guest access and enforce all building visitor policies.
  • Conduct routine patrols of the property, including common areas and amenities.
  • Monitor security cameras and report suspicious or unusual activity.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and contact emergency services when necessary.
  • Complete accurate overnight shift logs documenting incidents, maintenance concerns, disturbances, and unusual activity.
  • Report emergencies, safety concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations to the
  • Property Manager and maintenance team.
  • Assist residents with questions, directions, and general building information.
  • Receive emergency maintenance requests and notify the on-call maintenance technician when appropriate.
  • Ensure lobby doors and building entrances remain secure throughout the shift.
  • Monitor package room activity and report any concerns.
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming, and secure environment for residents and visitors at all times.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Front desk, concierge, hospitality, residential, hotel, or security experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong observation skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
  • Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • Basic computer, email, and incident reporting skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding residents and property operations.
  • Knowledge of basic building security procedures and emergency response protocols is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to patrol the property, including stairwells, parking areas, and common spaces.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies.
  • Compensation: $21.00/hour
  • Employment Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt | On-site
