About The Role
Your Opportunity as the Analyst, Health & Welfare Plans Administration
Receive training and hands‑on experience learning internal HR systems and external vendor platforms, including data integrations and file transfers used to administer the Company’s health and welfare benefits. Build foundational knowledge of benefit programs, applicable laws and regulations, and operational best practices while supporting the day‑to‑day delivery of Total Rewards programs.
Location: Orrville, OH
Work Arrangements: Hybrid, 35% in office expectation
In this role you will
- Learning and applying the laws and regulations that govern health and welfare benefits
- Reviewing and updating employee, retiree, dependent, and beneficiary data in Workday and third‑party administration systems
- Reviewing, analyzing, and processing benefit events and benefit elections in Workday, including enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and terminations, in accordance with plan rules and regulatory requirements
- Monitoring system integrations to ensure successful and accurate processing; partnering with HRIS or senior team members to research and resolve issues as needed
- Identifying and troubleshooting system or process errors, escalating more complex or specialized issues to senior team members
- Partnering with HR Communications and internal/external vendors to prepare and distribute participant communications and required legal notices
- Completing daily administrative activities such as monitoring HR Shared Services mail, check processing, submitting life insurance claims, and generating or mailing retiree correspondence
The Analyst also responds to inquiries and issues escalated from the HR HOME Contact Center and external vendors, including:
- Triaging participant cases assigned to the Total Rewards Operations team
- Researching and resolving benefit‑related inquiries in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws
- Delivering responsive and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including handling sensitive or complex situations with care and professionalism
What we are looking for
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (Human Resources, Business, Analytics, or related field)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a team‑oriented environment
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with Excel for basic data review, formulas, or reporting
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required)
- Experience with Workday or other HR/Benefits systems
- Experience working within an HR function or benefits function
