About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Working Foreman to lead and work alongside field crews on residential, multifamily, renovation, addition, new home, and light commercial construction projects throughout the Lancaster, PA area. This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled construction professional who enjoys being in the field, driving daily jobsite progress, and delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
The ideal candidate has a strong carpentry or general construction background, excels at leading crews by example, and is committed to maintaining quality, safety, and productivity on every project. This is a field-based position with no office, hybrid, or remote responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside field crews on residential, multifamily, renovation, addition, new home, and light commercial construction projects.
- Direct daily jobsite operations to keep projects on schedule, crews productive, and materials organized.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and field instructions to ensure accurate execution.
- Perform and oversee carpentry and general construction work while maintaining high standards for quality, craftsmanship, and safety.
- Coordinate with company leadership, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support project startup, site organization, inspections, punch-list completion, and project closeout activities.
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize delays and keep projects moving efficiently.
- Travel to project sites within approximately one hour of the Lancaster, PA area.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Working Foreman, Construction Foreman, Carpenter Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or similar hands-on field leadership role.
- Experience with residential construction, multifamily renovations, remodeling, additions, new home construction, or light commercial projects.
- Strong hands-on carpentry or general construction skills with the ability to lead crews by example.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Proven experience managing day-to-day field operations rather than office-based project management.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to maintaining safe, efficient, and high-quality jobsites.
- Ability to reliably travel to jobsites throughout the Lancaster, PA area, typically within a one-hour radius.
- Must be comfortable working full-time in the field with no remote or hybrid work arrangement.

- Compensation: Approximately $80,000-$90,000 total compensation, including bonus and profit sharing.
