Residential Interior Designer (Chief Architect Software Proficiency Required)

We are seeking a talented Residential Interior Designer with strong proficiency in Chief Architect software to join a growing residential remodeling team in Barberton, OH. This role focuses on designing kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home renovation projects, creating functional, beautiful spaces tailored to each client's needs.

The ideal candidate has experience in residential interior design, excellent space-planning skills, and the ability to translate client ideas into detailed, construction-ready designs. You'll collaborate closely with homeowners, project managers, contractors, and suppliers to deliver high-quality remodeling projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Design kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home remodeling projects using Chief Architect software
• Meet with homeowners to understand their lifestyle, design preferences, and project goals
• Develop floor plans, 3D renderings, and design presentations
• Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and design documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors throughout each project
• Guide clients through material, finish, fixture, and color selections
• Revise designs based on client feedback while maintaining project timelines
• Maintain organized project documentation and ensure design accuracy
• Balance aesthetics, functionality, and constructability in every design

Requirements

• Professional experience in residential interior design, remodeling, or renovation
• Advanced proficiency with Chief Architect software is required
• Strong understanding of residential space planning and construction details
• Experience producing construction-ready drawings and design presentations
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities
• Experience working directly with homeowners is highly preferred
