About the Role

Seeking a IT Project Manager with expertise in managing IT projects, particularly in the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, budget estimation, and pricing, with experience in AI-related projects. This role involves overseeing IT initiatives, ensuring project deliverables are met on time, within scope, and within budget, while driving innovation and efficiency in the insurance industry. Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution

Lead the planning, execution, and closure of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.

Budget Management and Cost Estimation

Conduct detailed cost assessments and provide accurate project pricing.
Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability.

Risk Management

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including technical, financial, and operational risks.
Develop contingency plans to address potential issues.

AI Project Experience

Manage IT projects involving AI technologies, such as generative AI, machine learning, or NLP.
Ensure AI solutions are integrated effectively into insurance processes (e.g., claims processing, fraud detection, customer service).

Stakeholder Communication

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, actuaries, data scientists, and business leaders.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and deliverables.

Vendor and Resource Management

Negotiate with vendors and external partners to secure necessary resources and services.
Manage internal and external project teams to ensure alignment and productivity.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to optimize project management processes and improve efficiency.
Implement best practices in IT project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).

Required Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on the insurance industry.
Proven experience in managing AI-related IT projects.
Strong background in budget estimation, cost analysis, and project pricing.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Scrum).
Experience with AI technologies and their application in insurance.
Strong understanding of insurance IT systems, such as policy administration, claims management, and underwriting systems.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
