About The Role

  • Role: Regional Business Manager – Small Business Enterprise (SBE)
  • Reporting To: ZBM / Regional Business Head

Job Description

  • Lead and manage the overall SBE business for the assigned region.
  • Manage, mentor and develop Area Business Managers, ensuring the achievement of business, revenue and profitability targets.
  • Drive regional growth across Working Capital, LAP, Business Loans and other SBE products and propositions.
  • Ensure effective management and performance of sales teams through ABMs.
  • Drive customer acquisition, portfolio growth, cross-selling and deepening of existing customer relationships.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, promoters, CFOs and other decision-makers.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with DSAs, Branch Banking teams, manufacturers, vendors and other sourcing partners.
  • Monitor the regional sales pipeline, team productivity, portfolio size, disbursements and portfolio quality.
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities to enhance the penetration and visibility of the Kotak brand.
  • Collaborate closely with Credit, Risk, Operations and other stakeholders to ensure seamless business execution.
  • Maintain a strong focus on portfolio quality, profitability and sustainable business growth.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of ABMs and provide coaching, guidance and support to enhance team productivity.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, processes, regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree; MBA preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience in SBE/SME, Working Capital, Business Banking, LAP or related banking and financial services businesses.
  • Proven experience in regional sales leadership and team management.
  • Experience managing multiple teams and locations through second-line managers.
  • Strong understanding of SME/SBE customer segments, business models, cash flows and credit requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Strong market knowledge, with the ability to build and manage extensive customer and channel relationships.
