We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. Based in Poços de Caldas/MG and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, monitoring and analyzing KPIs related to equipment OEE (Availability and Performance), implementing performance improvements and cost reductions, and will be a key pillar in preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

You will be responsible for

  • Safety as a fundamental pillar of all maintenance activities;
  • Ensure compliance with Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Plans;
  • Monitor the execution of Work Orders in terms of Quality, Cost and Time;
  • Monitor and study the evolution of maintenance KPI indicators, develop structured improvement plans, and ensure targets are achieved;
  • Actively participate in Equipment Availability ( ROA ) root cause analysis (breakdowns and other downtime) and include improvement actions in maintenance plans;
  • Coordinate the execution of capital expenditures (capex) after approval, from the planning stage, including execution, start- up , and post -mortem. Strictly monitor the Scope, Cost, and Schedule KPIs.
  • List all capital expenditure (capex) needs based on Improvements, Safety, Capacity, Cost, etc., with the appropriate rationale and economics, maintaining a prioritization ranking to be used when requesting/approving funds;
  • Participate in planned safety inspections in various areas of the factory;
  • Support security activities whenever required;
  • Manage maintenance contracts (video jets, predictive inspections, boiler burners, air conditioning, chillers , etc. ) and utilities (gas, electricity, etc.). Validate payments and hold meetings with suppliers to discuss performance.
  • Activities in the areas of mechanical assembly, ensuring quality in the execution of the work;
  • To provide actions that create adequate conditions for startup; aiming at verifying and ensuring the proper functioning of each assembled device, machine rooms for refrigeration systems, compressed air, steam generation systems or thermal fluid heating, among others, as well as their mechanical connections.
  • Execution and assembly of hydraulic and pneumatic panels.
  • Identify and interpret mechanical installation designs (schematics, graphs, plans, flowcharts and mechanical diagrams), assemble mechanical systems and provide guidance on the functioning and operation of mechanical equipment.
  • Monitor contract performance via associated KPIs, maximizing services at the lowest possible cost. Provide related data whenever requested.
  • Identify opportunities (cost, new suppliers, new technologies, etc.) frequently. Propose performance improvement goals;

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a professional with the following skills and motivations

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Specialization in Maintenance is desirable;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the position is desirable;
  • People management;
  • Microsoft Office Suite – Intermediate/Advanced PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Basic level of English and Spanish is desirable;
  • Experience in the maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment;
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanics and basic knowledge of electricity and automation;
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, other productivity programs (TPM, 6 Sigma, etc.), software, and planned maintenance routines;
  • Technical course in mechanics and Senai courses (a plus).
  • Experience in cable factories (a plus).
