You will be apart of the Financial leadership for Implant Network (Valve Network), collaborating with the Valve manufacturing plants (Costa Rica, Singapore, Irvine, Valencia) in order to drive financial commitments impacting Surgical, THV and TMTT business units. This role also requires strong business partnering with the Technical Operations (Engineering) team to ensure strategic alignment with the network priorities. In addition, this person will be the point person for Surgical BU communications and will lead the AOP and Strat Plan processes for the Implant Network.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead annual operating plan, strategic plan process and monthly forecasts inclusive of operating spend, project spend, headcounts and capital expenditure plans for the Implant Network.
  • Draw findings from financial and manufacturing trend reports, synthesize information, create presentations for management and provide recommendations and conclusions from data
  • Collaborate with finance and manufacturing stakeholders to develop moderately complex financial dashboards, global reporting and analysis (e.g., plan metrics, cost of quality, financial tracking on big projects)
  • Strategic trusted partner to the Implant Network Leadership team and Tech Ops teams
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and collaborate with management in identifying process improvements
  • Drive major strategic projects to execution (ie automation, cost optimization, etc..)
  • Responsible for compliance activities (e.g., SOX, key and internal controls, fixed asset audits, physical inventory)
  • Analyze ROI (Return on Investment) of expenditures for manufacturing projects
  • Develop project plans and global cost accounting activities with accountability for successful completion within scope of project deliverables
  • Provide guidance and/or lead smaller project teams to execute tactical projects and/or initiatives
  • Other incidental duties

What you'll need (Required)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or Mathematics
  • A minimum of ten years of Accounting/ Finance experience (Or eight years with a Masters)

  • CMA/CPA
  • Cost Accounting experience
  • Proven successful project management skills
  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, database tools (e.g., QlikView), financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP)
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
  • Extensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
  • Extensive understanding of related aspects of financial processes and/or systems
  • Demonstrate Big Picture orientation with strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to represent leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and finance team
  • Ability to consult in project setting within specific sections of financial area
  • Ability to provide financial leadership to outsourcing partners on a task level

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $121,000 to $171,000 (highly experienced).
