The Opportunity
As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering team, you'll support both daily manufacturing operations and long-term strategic initiatives. You'll work closely with colleagues across Production, Product Development, Procurement, Quality, and Supply Chain, while also collaborating with suppliers and global teams to optimise manufacturing processes throughout the product lifecycle.
From supporting exciting new product launches to driving continuous improvement projects, you'll have a direct impact on how we manufacture and deliver innovative electronic products to customers worldwide.
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as the manufacturing engineering lead for electronic and digital products, supporting production performance, quality, and continuous improvement across the value stream.
- Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring efficient, cost-effective production while providing design-for-manufacture feedback to Product Development teams.
- Carry out testing, validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of electronic products, embedded systems, and pump control equipment.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues, manage component lifecycles, and drive product and process improvements.
- Maintain and enhance production test systems, including LabVIEW applications, firmware updates, functional testing procedures, and operator training.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, ensure compliance with quality and manufacturing standards, and support strategic projects that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in the production or manufacture of electronic and digital products.
- Strong understanding of electronic schematics and PCB layouts.
- Experience testing and debugging embedded systems.
- Knowledge of electronic test equipment and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards such as IPC, ISO, RoHS and REACH.
- Experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques.
- Proven ability to promote and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with NI LabVIEW test software.
- Knowledge of PCB CAD tools such as Altium.
- Electronic component lifecycle management experience.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP systems.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of EMC and product safety standards.
- Experience with DraftSight, SolidWorks or NX.
