About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be providing comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and treatment plans to the customers and communities. You will be involved in quality improvement research and professional supervision activities to improve the quality of services, referrals, and health outcomes. You will also conduct individual and group therapy sessions to build strong relationships and provide empathetic support to customers.

Responsibilities include

Provides comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify strengths, challenges, and the functional impacts of customers at home and in the community and delivers home-based therapy services.
Develops and executes customer-centered, strengths-based treatment plans. Maintains accurate record of treatment plans, and session notes following ethical guidelines and privacy regulations.
Identifies and assesses manual handling tasks and develops risk control strategies, including evaluation of work postures and body mechanics. Recommends appropriate manual handling equipment.
Utilises and applies evidence-based multidisciplinary practice and professional judgement to a complex and broad caseload to facilitate optimal and safe patient outcomes and customer flows.

About You

To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have

Bachelor’s degree required, Occupational Therapy, Healthcare, Nursing Science, Pharmacy is preferred. Any other healthcare-related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
Minimal experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred.
Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration is preferred.
Proficient in Occupational Therapy Assessment, Manual Handling Equipment, Discharge Planning, Treatment Planning and Quality Care Service Management skills.
Excellent analytical thinking, customer experience, resilience, communication, and planning and prioritisation skills.
