onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated Compliance Analyst to be responsible for reviewing, implementing, and driving continuous improvement of the Company’s trade compliance program. As part of onsemi’s Law Department you will support key corporate business objectives and operational goals while ensuring compliance with legal and risk-mitigation requirements. The team is highly cooperative and partners with business leadership, tax, legal, procurement teams, logistics, and other internal business partners and external vendors to drive projects that address critical business and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Sr Director, Global Trade Compliance.

Performance Objectives

  • Partner cross-functionally in the development, improvement and implementation of global trade compliance policies and processes, driving automation and leveraging technologies whenever possible.
  • Create ‘As Is’ process maps and design ‘To Be’ trade compliance processes to identify process improvements and close compliance gaps.
  • Learn and understand our business systems, compliance processes and pain points of our regional/local trade compliance teams.
  • Use good business acumen and judgement to identify legal and commercial issues and provide effective risk mitigation guidance to sales and business units.
  • Provide internal stakeholders with timely and appropriate training and information on the requirements and documentation to comply with onsemi’s trade compliance programs and activities.
  • Assist in classifying products, technology and software and advise on import and export issues.
  • Prepare periodic reports and updates for senior management regarding program performance and trends.
  • Support trade compliance risk assessments and audits as well as investigations and remediation.
