In an environment where the patient is at the center of everything that we do the individuals in this position typically works with Billing Representatives and other employees handling complex billing issues for the purpose of collecting revenue for the organization. Will work with Patient, Client and/or Third Party insurance bills.

  • Responsible for accurately reviewing and applying third party remittance
  • Process insurance/patient refunds and adjustments
  • Outbound calls to insurance carriers to reconcile/resolve any issues
  • Familiar with explanation of benefits
  • Always maintain Compliance and HIPPA standard
  • Meet or exceed daily production standards by maintaining work list according to metrics
  • Meet or exceed daily quality standards
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned
  • Evaluate and response to all email requests for any AR issues to resolve in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1-2 years Medical Billing experience
  • Ability to read and translate EOB and insurance correspondence
  • Ability to create and modify spreadsheets within Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years remittance application experience
  • 1-2 years of QBS experience
