Job Summary
Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Director Logisitics located in Guadalajara North .
Reporting to VP Operations . As a Director, Logistics you are Responsible for development, execution, and ongoing management of the Global Logistics strategy. Working with the transportation providers and operations, develop global and regional strategies and initiatives to meet current and future business needs. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects designed to lower total transportation cost, at reduced transit times, with increased reliability.
What a typical day looks like
- Develop overall strategy that focuses on cost, speed, and reliability of the services provided to business. Work with the business to develop appropriate metrics and KPI’s and manage accordingly. Provide strategic alignment with Corporate strategies and initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in the efficiency of transportation expenditures across the company. Develop effective and joint solutions with suppliers and providers to lower total transportation cost.
- Drive continuous improvement to standard logistics process.
- Build and maintain relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives and resolve customer / operational issues.
- Work closely with sub-ordinates to ensure global strategies and policies are effectively developed, communicated and implemented driving best practices.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and metrics to reduce costs, streamline procedures and implement solutions.
- Select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Regularly interact with executives and major clients which may result in influencing and/or persuading customer negotiations.
- Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce
The experience we’re looking to add to our team
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in complex industrial logistics and transportation operations .
- Proven expertise in Yard Management, freight traffic control, dock capacity planning, shipping and receiving .
- Experience implementing or managing YMS, TMS, WMS, appointment scheduling systems and Control Towers .
- Proven leadership of end-to-end logistics transformation initiatives , including short-, medium- and long-term strategies.
- Experience establishing governance, SOPs, capacity controls, KPIs and escalation processes across multiple sites or buildings.
- Strong background managing carriers, 3PLs, cross-docks and external yards .
- Practical knowledge of OEA, CTPAT, IMMEX and supply chain security compliance .
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and ability to influence GMs and cross-functional teams .
- Experience in EMS, electronics, automotive or high-complexity manufacturing environments .
- Advanced English and strong analytical, change management and continuous improvement skills
