About the Role

As a Senior Crew Operator , you wi ll play a pivotal role in managing crew planning and operational readiness across our global fleet. You will:

  • Ensure vessels are adequately manned in line with flag requirements and Maersk policies.
  • Coordinate long-term planning for Senior O fficers
  • Manage crew rotations and ensure timely, efficient crew changes.
  • Champion seafarer engagement and contribute to building stronger connections between ship and shore.
  • Be r esponsible for the cost-efficient execution of crew operations for a fleet of vessels
  • Execu te responsibilities and tasks in line with what constitutes as good performance as per agreed performance standards and metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Performance Indicators or KPIs)
  • Maintain accurate personnel and planning data across systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Fleet Groups to meet vessel-specific needs.
  • Support performance evaluation, promotions, and training recommendations for crew.
  • Work with Crewing teams in other locations to ensure that all Maersk vessels are manned in the best manner possible as per requirement.

  • We ar e seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and brings a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to their work.
  • The ideal candidate brings solid experience in crewing or maritime operations, with a proven track record in Manning, Crewing, Marine HR, or a similar discipline.

You

  • Communicate effectively with perfect command of English
  • Have a strong natural drive for results, as well as excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Possess a proactive and positive attitude, enthusiasm, and ability to cooperate in an open and constructive manner.
  • Can plan and execute in a structured manner, which is critical to succeed in the position.
  • Can interact effectively in an international setting with diverse nationalities.
  • Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Are a strong team player who is self-motivated, adaptable to change and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • A background in seafaring would be advantageous
