The Team Leader - Transport & Export coordinates and supervises the team of specialists responsible for domestic and international transport operations, export/import customs clearance, and delivery planning. In addition to the direct execution of critical operational activities (customs clearance, Direct Plant Shipment customer planning, 3PL coordination), the Team Leader ensures team performance, professional development of team members, compliance with operational standards (including 5S and HSE), and achievement of departmental KPIs
Key Responsibilities
Transport Planning & 3PL Coordination
- Develop production-aligned loading plans and manage multi-channel planning in coordination with Planning and Quality.
- Plan and manage daily/weekly transport across all channels (truck slots, loading schedules, stock transfers), aligned with Planning and Quality
- Prioritize shipments by criticality, resolve exceptions, and escalate risks to customer commitments
- Own the stock transfer lifecycle with the 3PL partner (planning, tracking, reconciliation) prioritizing short shelf-life stock to cut scrap
- Chair weekly 3PL meetings; monitor warehouse KPIs and drive corrective actions
Customs & Compliance
- Own end-to-end customs operations for import/export, ensuring EU and national compliance
- Coordinate with brokers and authorities; manage customs accounts and financial replenishment
- Resolve freight claims and compliance actions within SLA
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Lead the Transport & Export team, balancing execution with workload management
- Coach and develop team members via regular reviews
- Maintain 5S/HSE standards and audit readiness
- Track KPIs; drive improvement through automation and process optimization
What is needed
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career, and the following experience and knowledge
- 4+ years in international transport and/or customs operations; solid grasp of the full customs cycle and cross-border logistics.
- 1+ year in a supervisory or team coordination role, with proven ability to lead and develop a small team.
- Proven experience coordinating with a 3PL warehouse partner: stock transfers, joint planning, and performance accountability.
- Solid knowledge of EU customs regulations, Incoterms, and documentation requirements for export and import flows.
- Confident SAP user; familiarity with TMS platforms (iNET, Alpega preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic planning.
- Advanced English, written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Customs broker certification or formal training in EU customs procedures.
- FMCG, food & beverage, or consumer goods logistics background.
- Experience with APO/IBP, lean methodologies, or continuous improvement.

Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field.
- Availability during standard production hours, with flexibility during peak export and month-end cycles.
- Primarily warehouse/office-based; occasional visits to production plant, 3PL warehouse, or partner sites.
- Full-time, 40h/week. Standard hours with flexibility during peak logistics periods.
