Job Details

The position hours are four shifts per week, 10-hr shifts. There is a call requirement. No scheduled shifts on weekend/holidays except for on-call shifts.

JOB SUMMARY

To assist in the operation and related functions of fluoroscopic and digital equipment in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Circulates and monitors during Cardiac Catheterization procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assists in preparing the laboratory prior to and during the procedure. Includes assisting the Cardiologist and/or nurse during the procedure by circulating in the lab and providing them with catheters, instruments, or special items when needed during the procedure
  • Maintains the sterility of the field and lab.
  • Consistently produces high quality images while ensuring these images are properly transferred to the archive server
  • Interacts with co-workers. visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of Jefferson Health

Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

Education - Required

  • Specialized Diploma from an accredited school of cardiovascular science or
  • Specialized Diploma from an accredited school of radiation technology with cardiovascular experience.

Education - Preferred

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited school of cardiovascular science or
  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited school of radiation technology with cardiovascular experience.

Experience - Preferred

  • 2 years of experience with invasive cardiology or interventional radiology.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required

  • Decisive decision making in critical situations. Exhibits critical-thinking.
  • Knowledge of current medical practice as it relates to diagnostic and interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, peripheral, and structural heart procedures.
  • Initiates, accepts, and adapts to change.

Licenses and Certifications - Required

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association
  • RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or
  • RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - Cardiovascular Credentialing International Within 180 Days
