Intern within ZEROe Fuel Cell Systems team (d/f/m)

  • Location: Hamburg
  • Start: As soon as possible
  • Duration: 3-6 months

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Finkenwerder

Are you wondering how you actually get from university to Airbus? Your internship position is at the Airbus offices and labs located in the ZAL (Center of Applied Aeronautical Research / Zentrum für Angewandte Luftfahrtforschung), very close to the Finkenwerder plant and you can take the ferry from Teufelsbrück to the Rüschpark ferry terminal and back to the university in the morning and at noon.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Working on the ZEROe Fuel Cell System project, specifically on prototypes and laboratory demonstrators.
  • Identifying system components, assisting with component procurement, and assembling the prototype system together with the Airbus team.
  • Assisting with system commissioning and supporting the defined test campaign.
  • Supporting the planning and preparation of tests to be conducted.
  • Processing measurement data and analyzing results.
  • Documenting the work performed and the results.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of project documents, reports, and presentations.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Field of Study: Engineering programs such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering; Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar
  • Subjects: Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering
  • Tools & IT: AutoCAD, CATIA, Simscape, MATLAB Simulink are welcome. IT knowledge is required.
  • Target Group: Master's students; Bachelor's students (from the 3rd semester onwards)
  • Experience: Ideally practical experience in laboratory work or systems projects
  • Languages: Very good English skills, German would be a plus
