About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader for our Asset Management vertical to lead and develop our growing Asset Management capability within the Global Capability Centre (GCC). The role will provide line management, technical oversight, and project delivery support across a team of asset management professionals specialising in Integrity Management, Reliability Engineering, and Asset Advisory services.

Working closely with the global Asset Management & Advisory (AM&A) leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for building team capability, managing resources, supporting project delivery, and driving the growth of asset management services across multiple sectors of the power industry, including thermal generation, transmission and distribution, hydro, wind, and solar.

The role combines people leadership, technical excellence, project oversight, and business development support to ensure the GCC is recognised as a trusted delivery centre for global asset management projects.

  • Provide line management and leadership to GCC Asset Management personnel, including Reliability Engineers, Integrity Engineers, and Asset Advisory Consultants.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, development, mentoring, and performance management of team members.
  • Manage resource planning and allocation to ensure efficient support of global project demands.
  • Oversee the technical quality and consistency of project deliverables produced by the GCC team.
  • Support / lead delivery of asset management projects, including reliability studies, integrity assessments, asset health reviews, technical due diligence, and asset strategy development.
  • Act as a senior point of contact between GCC teams and project managers across the wider AM&A business.
  • Identify capability gaps and implement training and development plans to strengthen technical expertise.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, standardisation of methodologies, and development of reusable tools and templates.
  • Support proposal preparation, work-winning activities, and capability development initiatives.
  • Monitor utilisation, productivity, and team performance metrics.
  • Promote collaboration across Asset Management, Energy Advisory, Power Systems, and Asset & Quality Solutions teams.
  • Support adoption of digital tools, data analytics, and AI-enabled asset management solutions.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture aligned with WSP values.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, Asset Management, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in asset management, reliability, integrity management, maintenance optimisation, or asset advisory.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and developing engineering professionals.
  • Strong understanding of one or more core asset management disciplines, including:
  • Reliability Engineering (RAM, RCM, FMEA)
  • Asset Integrity Management (RBI, FFS, corrosion management)
  • Asset Advisory and Technical Due Diligence
  • Asset Lifecycle Management
  • Strong project delivery and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial awareness, including resource planning, project performance, and utilisation management.
  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
  • Experience working with international or multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of ISO 55000 asset management principles is desirable.
  • Interest in digital asset management, analytics, and emerging technologies is advantageous.
