Then the position of Software Function Owner in our Business Unit Semiconductor Mask Solutions of the ZEISS Group in Jena may be the ideal opportunity for you!

In this role, you take technical ownership of the Software Function within our R&D organization. You are the crucial link between strategic product planning and hands-on software delivery, ensuring that our development teams translate business requirements into world-class software solutions. As a key member of our agile organization, you bring your strong technical expertise and leadership skills to drive delivery excellence.

Your Role

Acting as the bridge between technical implementation and business stakeholders, translating complex technical topics into clear communication.
Decision-making authority for trade-offs within the software function, balancing scope, quality, and delivery timelines.
Responsibility of Software Release delivery and quality (Software Installation Success).
Establishment of Security by Design principle.
Ownership and management of the Function Backlog in alignment with stakeholders.
Facilitation of Sprint Planning and Sprint Review meetings, ensuring teams commit to achievable goals and deliver value consistently.

Your Profile

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical complexities to diverse stakeholders.
Proven track record in requirements engineering, software specification, and release management.
Strong understanding of software architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management.
Education in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable education.
Significant professional experience (8+ years) in software development and R&D environments.
Experience in agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps.
