Our LV & MV Switchgear divisions design and manufacture electrical distribution equipment for business-critical applications throughout Europe. Due to continued growth, Vertiv is seeking to recruit a Senior CAD Engineer for the Presales team in Londonderry, Derry

POSITION SUMMARY

• Presales Senior CAD Engineer is an important part of an interdisciplinary team of technical experts (electrical, mechanical, structural, architectural) to bring together schematic design for Data center (Hyperscale, Enterprise, Colocation, Edge, CLS) and Critical Infrastructure facilities. Position includes applying theoretical knowledge, practical engineering skills, coaching, mentoring as well as communication skills in the fields of Clean Energy, AI and Data center design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents
• Reading and understanding customer requirements provided by SA and sales team
• Understanding of architectural and construction standards
• CAD (Revit, ACAD) Modeling
• Providing and reviewing design documents
• Handling multiple concurrent opportunities
• Ability to lead activities
• Demonstrated ability to handle opportunities of medium complexity without supervision
• Support team lead
• Mentoring new employees

QUALIFICATIONS

• Good CAD capabilities including the ability to represent 3D, layouts, sections
• PC skills: Active user of Windows, MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), AutoCAD, Revit
• Technical/practical skills: Advanced analytical skills, Assessment skills, Organizational skills
• Active English
