As a Crisis Helpline Responder, you’ll provide immediate, compassionate support to individuals experiencing distress or crisis. Your work will directly contribute to safety, stabilization, and connection to life-saving resources.

This is a remote, part-time role with flexible scheduling. Local language fluency is preferred, but all qualified, mission-aligned candidates are encouraged to apply.

You’ll serve as a lifeline for individuals facing suicide risk, self-harm, and acute emotional crises—making a real, immediate impact every shift.

Responsibilities

Respond to crisis hotline calls with empathy and professionalism
Provide evidence-based crisis counseling and de-escalation support
Conduct risk assessments and arrange emergency services or referrals when required
Maintain accurate and confidential call documentation
Develop tailored crisis management and safety plans
Ensure smooth handovers between shifts
Dedicate each shift exclusively to Intellect crisis support services
1–3 years of helpline experience (paid or volunteer)
Proven ability to manage high-risk situations
Emotional resilience and calm decision-making under pressure
Fluency in Lao; additional languages are a plus
