About The Role
- Prepare and execute test specifications, test procedures, test data and test reports for system and Ground Segment IV&V activities.
- Support the planning and coordination of verification and validation campaigns, including formal testing, Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and Test Review Boards (TRBs).
- Contribute to the automation of test procedures, test tools and test environments, including the preparation and management of test data.
- Support software and hardware integration, deployment, configuration and verification activities.
- Maintain requirements-to-test traceability using tools such as DOORS and VERDI.
- Participate in anomaly investigation, verification control activities and Verification Control Boards (VCBs).
- Prepare and maintain Verification Control Documents (VCDs) and verification reports.
- Support system commissioning, rehearsals and launch preparation activities.
- 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering and IV&V for Earth Observation missions, particularly at System and Ground Segment level.
- Proven experience in IV&V of data processing systems and end-to-end processing chains, from data acquisition to L0/L1/L2 products, archiving and dissemination.
- Knowledge of space and Ground Segment engineering processes and lifecycles, preferably ECSS.
- Experience with requirements engineering and traceability tools, particularly DOORS.
- Experience with formal testing, TRRs/TRBs, VCDs and VCBs.
- Knowledge of CCSDS standards, including CFDP, and experience with CCSDS-based systems.
- Experience in interface management and ICD definition.
- Basic programming/scripting skills, preferably Python and Bash, for test automation, simulators and test data generation.
- Experience managing test datasets, particularly CCSDS and NetCDF formats.
- Knowledge of SysML and system modelling tools such as Enterprise Architect is an advantage.
- Experience with Ground Station integration and IV&V for TT&C and Mission Data Acquisition is highly desirable.
- Fluent English, with strong technical documentation and communication skills.
