About The Role

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The primary purposes of this role are

To perform audits/ surveillance and report compliance with an adequacy of the procedures to ensure good maintenance practices and airworthy aircraft and aircraft components as well as to impart human factor awareness and assist in establishing training standards.
To report non-compliance of established procedures/ approved standards, system weaknesses and deficiencies, to Engineering Management for remedial or improvement actions.
To ensure all aspects of Quality Systems in accordance with the requirements of the company and relevant Aviation Authorities in the most efficient and economical manner.
To investigate airworthiness occurrences and to perform necessary further investigation and follow-up activity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main deliverable of this role is to ensure the company remains compliant to CAAM regulatory requirements and safeguarding the CAMO approval that has been granted.

The main output fo the role is ensuring all audits are done in accordance with the approved plan, and all investigations completed with a robust mitigation plan and having all certificates renewed in a timely manner.
The primary KPIs or performance targets thar are to be achieved are:
Accomplishment of the audits as per the audit plan
Audit report generation with agreed timeline
Resolution to findings
MOR submission within timeline
Incident investigation being completed within CAM’s timeline
All approvals and certificates are renewed without lapse
Close monitoring of the compliance to CAAM and company requirements as stipulated in the CAME by AB is the most critical role.
AB QA supports the compliance and upholding the airworthiness elements for safe operation
The aircraft airworthiness status and audits are tracked through AMOS and ICARUS

ACCOUNTABILITIES

QA is responsible for the validity of the CAMO approval and ensuring AB CAMO remains compliant with the regulatory requirements.
The ensured compliance ensures the safe and air-worthy operation of the aircraft.
The role is answerable for any quality lapses within AB CAMO and to ensure the implementation of an acceptable corrective and preventive action plan.

AUTHORITY

The Assistant Manager Quality Assurance is able to establish the acceptability of all mitigation plans related to the quality assurance and safety compliance at AB CAMO.
The position does not require him/her to approve but to make the recommendation to Manager, Quality Assurance.
All budget, resources, or assets are decided by Manager, Quality Assurance.
The release of the aircraft involved in significate events are only released upon clearance by AB Head - Engineering CAMO together with the consultation with Manager, Quality Assurance.

DELEGATION OF DUTIES

Any delegation of duties will be by his subordinates, Quality Assurance Executive. However, the Manager, Quality Assurance is available for consultation and guidance.
As the job function is the same, there are no extra delegation of duties.
No authority is needed for the delegation of duties.
There are no limitations apply to delegated authority

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Engineering degree or Aircraft Maintenance License is a prerequisite for the position
Certifications or licenses are not mandatory but preferred particularly on AB operated aircraft type
A minimum of 08 year in aviation with 04 years in Quality Assurance environment is an advantage.
Basic technical skills are essential. However, aircraft maintenance knowledge is added advantage.
Basic engineering knowledge and familiarity with CAAM requirements such as CADs are critical. Aircraft knowledge and computer literacy with aircraft information system is an advantage
Regulatory or industry specific requirements are to be ensure however such training will be provided as reflected in AB Engineering CAME.
